How long have you been teaching at Fierce45? Since April 2017
Three words to describe your classes? Uplifting, challenging, effective
Who/what is your spirit animal? Mama Bear
Favorite workout/class music? Retro remixes with a strong beat
Favorite move on the machine? Tabletop oblique sweep
What is your favorite thing about the Fierce4 community? The Fierce community is why I coach. Clients are engaging and supportive of each other in class and out. And, they carry their Fierce badassery into their daily lives. I love it!
Why do you love teaching at Fierce45? The community and our method are my reasons for teaching at Fierce. This method of fitness, being so alignment focused and low impact, is the safest there is out there - a sustainable fitness program! I love that this method provides a type of physical therapy that allows people with certain injuries to heal through movement. Fierce45 is what rehabilitated me from hip labral surgery four years ago. I feel even stronger now!
Why do you love Fierce Movement as a method? In addition to the above answer, I love that we all move to the beat of the music. Moving together is so inspiring and just feels good! I, also, love that Fierce Movement brings our "why" into each workout. Yes, we all have our general "why" of what brought us to Fierce. But, intentions can change from day and day. One of my fave parts of each class is reading what people write on their chalkboards. Our community is the best!
Tell us a fun fact about you! I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ecuador and worked in the animal production program. I worked on a hog and cattle farm in the jungle. I lived in a house on stilts and slept under a mosquito net to keep the rats out of my bed. It was an adventure I'll never forget filled with the most amazing people.
