MEMBERS OF THE MONTH

LOHI - Gillian Grefe    Favorite part of a Fierce class?  At first, I felt awkward about writing my intention on the board, but now I love it. Especially in those early morning classes--it gets you thinking. But if we're talking workout blocks, legs! Because legs also means booty. And a booty is something I did not have before Fierce.   Why you chose Fierce as your go-to workout?  Because it works your mind just as much as your body. Since I've joined Fierce, I've gone through some pretty big traumas. And, when I am in class I remind myself--if I can manifest this strength for my muscles, imagine the strength I'm capable of manifesting for my mind. It really has helped me gain control in so many ways.   What do you love most about the Fierce studio/community?  The teachers! I love each and every one of their approaches to teaching--their jokes, their motivational wisdom and obviously their booty-shaking routines.   How do you live a Fierce life?  I'm not afraid of a little pain. "If you don't fall you're not trying" is one of my favorite sayings and by living that way, you're likely to see a lot more good just by pushing yourself out of your comfort zone.

I live a fierce life by pushing through those moments of discomfort and moving ahead one foot in front of the other with my chin up, as these are all things that I am reminded of in every class I attend :-)

I choose fierce because it helps me not only get stronger and more toned physically but also is an amazing release of stored up energy.

What do you love most about the Fierce studio/community?

I love all of the amazing instructors and the variation of classes, but most of all I love that I can come workout at 6am! Best way to start the day!!

How do you live a Fierce life?

I live a fierce life by pushing through those moments of discomfort and moving ahead one foot in front of the other with my chin up, as these are all things that I am reminded of in every class I attend :-)

Wash Park - Dakota Neel    Favorite part of a Fierce class?   Ahh, what isn’t my favorite part? I love that it’s a quick 45-minute work out but works every part of your body. I love the different classes and different teachers because it’s something new every time you walk into class. I love the relationships the teachers have with us and how they push us to our limits every time.   Why you chose Fierce as your go-to workout?   I have never been a big fan of working out. I tried everything from CrossFit, Yoga, to High-Intensity Interval training but could never really get into anything. Then I found fierce and fell in love. It has changed my body in so many different ways and not even just my body, I have such a better mindset after leaving a fierce workout. I have been a member now for a little over a year, and I can't wait to keep watching my body transform and become stronger.   What do you love most about the Fierce studio/community?   I would say my favorite thing about fierce is the small classes. It is really an amazing feeling when the teachers know you by name, and what your bodies can and can't do. With the small classes, the teachers get to focus on you, and you don’t feel like just a number or a member you actually feel like you are part of the community. I also love the hours and locations. I take the noon class Tuesday- Friday at the wash park location with a group of coworkers (best friends), and it is such a relief to have a studio that offers classes at that time that’s only 5 min away from work. We honestly can’t remember what we did before at lunch when we didn’t have fierce down the street.   How do you live a Fierce life?   When I think about living a fierce life I do my best to live by the 5 core values of fierce; Excellence, Positivity, Challenge, Inspire, & Community. I think the two biggest core values out of these 5 that help me live a fierce life are Positivity and Challenge. No matter what the situation is, I try to always have a positive outlook. I believe that everything happens for a reason good or bad and you may not be able to see it at the time but staying positive and looking forward is what I try to accomplish every day. As for the challenge aspect, everyone runs into one at some point or the other but what I do when this happens is force myself through it, never giving up or letting anyone tell me I can't do it. I stay strong in my mind and body living a very fierce life.

I'm a sales representative for a small Colorado wine and spirits distributor, so my day goes late. Really feel pumped after working out!   Why you chose Fierce as your go-to workout?   My cousin Zonni has been a member for a while and recommended I try a couple of classes. She knew I worked out at the J - did cardio and weights. Was hesitant to take group classes as I enjoyed my alone time at the gym. Very pleasantly surprised how much I love Fierce 45!!   What do you love most about the Fierce studio/community? The Fierce45 close is the perfect way to end class and feel a sense of accomplishment.   Why is Fierce my go-to workout?  Fierce 45 is my go-to workout because it is efficient (45 minutes) and low impact. It is a great cardio, strength, and muscle toning workout!   What do you love most about studio/community?  I love the energy in the studio. Everyone is welcoming, motivating and supportive.   How do I live a fierce life?  I am a positive person and bring that positivity daily into my life with my family and friends. My husband, two kids and I are an active family. When we’re not racing around from one sport to another, we like to hike and cross country ski. I also make time to play in a Co-Ed floor hockey league every Tuesday night. My husband and I believe sports and fitness promote not only a healthy lifestyle but builds character and skills that apply to all areas of life.
