WASH PARK: Catherine Santangelo

Favorite part of a Fierce class? My favorite part is when I’m pushed past what I think I’m physically capable of and I start to shake and persevere.

Why do you choose Fierce as your go-to work-out? I’m getting older and I need to take care of my joints.  I am slow and methodical at heart so it is a great fit.  I love the mind body connection and building muscle definition.

What do you love most about the Fierce studio/ community? The teachers are motivating and fun and they push me to work harder every time.  I generally go at the same time so it is great to see familiar faces and to be greeted with a smile.

How do you live a Fierce life? Well I guess I’d say that I don’t run away from difficult situations and I’m a mom of 2 so there are plenty of tough moments.  I also try to enjoy the great moments intensely and spend most of my time either cooking or with my family enjoying the beauty Colorado has to offer. Lastly, I am a Pediatric Dietitian so I share my knowledge of food/nutrition to help others.

LITTLETON: Meg D'Costa Favorite part about Fierce class? Is how accomplished I feel once it is finished. Why I chose Fierce as my go to workout? It works my core strength like no other. And it’s less stressful to my joints. What do I love most about the Fierce studio/community? Everyone at Fierce is so friendly and encouraging . How do you live a Fierce life? I continue to challenge myself, be it May Slay or taking classes 3days in a row, it pushes me to get stronger!

BOULDER: Nicole Glover Favorite part of a Fierce class? My favorite part of a Fierce class is during the leg block when there is a torso hinge with a carriage kick (maybe a little pulse for good measure) combo. It is the moment where I can feel every muscle engage, and the shake begins. Why you chose Fierce as your go-to workout? I love Fierce because it never feels overwhelming to fit in a class, no matter the time of day. An hour-long workout is too much for me in the evenings, so without Fierce, I was skipping a workout on long days. But no more! Plus I love the mindful movement, the stabilization, low impact, and the increased strength. I feel like it is a complete workout, and knowing its part of my routine frees me up to pursue other summer activities I love! What do you love most about the Fierce studio/community? What I love most is hard to choose. I started at the Boulder studio shortly after I relocated here, so it has been a great way to connect and get introduced to a new place. I loved my previous gym so much and had many close friendships that developed there, and it was hard to leave. However, now I have found that same possibility at Fierce! I have enjoyed seeing the same people at classes and getting to know the instructors - a great group of enthusiastic people! How do you live a Fierce life? I try and bring the strength, determination, and persistence of Fierce into so many aspects of my life. Oftentimes the moments when it is tempting to back off are the exact moments when I need to remember my core strength and recommit! Plus it doesn't hurt to know that I can give something my all for two minutes and see results! ;) I have loved working out at Fierce45. I would say I am obsessed.

LOHI: Mike Martinez Favorite part of a Fierce class? The end. It’s such a feeling of accomplishment when you’ve completed a really hard class and held moves you didn’t think you could hold. Why you chose Fierce as your go-to workout? It’s a great 45 minutes, and it forces me to start my day off with a great workout, and it sets me up for a positively productive day. What do you love most about the Fierce studio/community? The fact that it is a sense of community if you take a class regularly you get the opportunity to meet and connect with new people that believe in the Fierce method Every coach brings something unique. How do you live a Fierce life? Try to be the best version of me every day and be the best dad husband boss that I can be and realize that I’m flawed and some days I fall short but the next morning is a new opportunity

HILLTOP: Jeremy Watada Favorite part of a Fierce class? Definitely how I feel after a class, mentally and physically there's a sense of achievement and I feel energized and "de-stressed". That feeling is always what motivates me to come back for the next workout. Why you chose Fierce as your go-to workout? At first it was mostly due to personal convenience because it was a quick walk, only 45 minutes, and I need a class to keep me accountable as I do not like working out. What keeps Fierce as my go-to workout is a myriad of things though - it's low-impact, it truly is a full body workout, every class becomes more challenging, and I really enjoy the overall atmosphere.     What do you love most about the Fierce studio/community? I would definitely say the coaches. The variety of personalities and styles is great, but one commonality is they have all been very supportive (especially when I first started) and continue to motivate and push me every class. This feeling also resonates with the members and makes for a very welcoming and encouraging environment. How do you live a Fierce life? I feel much better since I started Fierce45 and I try to carry that feeling forward with friends and family, I even got my wife to become a regular this year!
